The Mesh Bottom Plate is to make a transition from a stainless steel flex liner to a fireplace smoke shelf, sealing off the area so smoke travels only through the liner and not around the outside of it. Our 24″ x 24″ Mesh Bottom Plate is easily shapable to fix the ceiling of your fireplace. High temp mortar or refectory cement will seal and bond to your ceiling.
